The web-based Big Data analytics tool is designed for girls in high schools across the Eastern Cape province with the ultimate goal of connecting the capabilities of Big Data in order to predict the likelihood of dropout encountered as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic

far-reaching effects for all, their impact particularly detrimental to the most disadvantaged students.
The educational consequences of Covid-19 will last beyond the period of school closures, disproportionately affecting marginalised girls
Notable socioeconomic and cultural challenges that can be worsened by Covid-19 in the schooling life of a girl child, and of such, need to be investigated as to test the evidence towards mitigation.

Both primary and secondary data was collected. Data was collected through qualitative and quantitative methods. The study collected data on female learners from schools across the OR Tambo district in 2022.
The study acquired at least 641 females that represented the population.
The specific data collection tools and methods included:
